On Friday, 6th May 2022, the interactive temporary exhibition “GEO Mythology | from the Myth to the Truth” will open to the public, at the Museum of Paleontology & Geology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUoA). It is a prototype exhibition, dedicated to Greek mythology and specifically to selected Greek myths, which are interpreted through an interdisciplinary approach, in association with geological, palaeontological and climatological phenomena, data and changes that occurred in ancient times.
The originality of the exhibition also lies in the fact that it is predominantly based on digital interactive applications, which incorporate cutting-edge technologies, as well as rich multimedia content. In a modern and dynamic exhibition environment, visitors discover the connection between myth and science, via a comprehensive –experiential, cognitive, aesthetic and sensory– experience.
The exhibition is the end result of the INNOVEXPO research programme and is organised by TETRAGON SA and the Department of Historical Geology-Palaeontology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
